I just finished my test-batch of chocolate chip-bacon cookies. Now, as some of you know, I'm not the biggest fan of chocolate chip cookies (I know, blasphemy! Whatever...) And a lot of people are just plain scared of the thought of chunks of salty, smokey goodness hiding in with the chocolate... but I have to say... they're pretty darned good.
For the "real" batch, I'll chop the bacon into smaller pieces, though. And make the cookies smaller. The test-batch are 4-6 bite cookies, and that's probably a little big for something this... odd. But seriously, I'm surprised how tasty these cookies are!
Oh, and in other news- ( I went to my local Fresh & Easy today... )
And on a selfish note, they had "proper" bacon, or English-cut. OM-NOM-NOM!!!
*Sigh* Now I get to get ready to go to work. Meh.

Hey All- I've just been asked to work a kids birthday party in October, and I need to garb a bunch of pirates. So, anyone with any spare pirate costumes or pieces, or items that look like they could be worn by pirates, I could really use them! The party is the 22nd, so I'd need them by the 20th. I promise to get them back to you washed and folded! Thanks in advance!!!

How much do I rock? I left the House of Seven Hookahs this morning at 8:45, destined for the Fabric District in downtown. Made it there in just under 44 minutes! With minor traffic on the 110. Wow. I think that's some kind of record. I managed to get all but three things on my list, AND stay under budget! And it took less than 2 1/2 hours. So, I made it back to the house just before 1pm, and that's with making a side stop at my parent's house, and jumping off the freeway to avoid an accident. Damn, I wish every traveling day could work like this! Now, to work!
10/3/05 02:11 pm
I know I haven't updated in AGES, but life has just kept me tooooo busy and/or tired. I lurk, and occasionally comment, so y'all know I'm still here. Sorry, you can't get rid of me that easy!
But, lots 'o' stuff do do by the end of the month...
Oh, and my parents rule! Lasher & I now have a new (to us) computer! Yay!!! And a TiVo! (We could probably use some help getting that set up... hint, hint! *wink* *wink*)
What is everyone doing for Halloween? Current Mood: Going to work

Calling all Faire Geeks, or those who sew:
I am looking for fabric for my overskirt and forepart, and I have been completely unsuccessful. Preferably, the overskirt would be 3-4 yards, and the forepart would be 1 yard; I would like to have both patterned, but the overskirt really doesn't need to be. And if possible, both in warm hues (Reds, yellows, oranges, etc.) I am willing to pay, or work out some sort of trade (sign-ins to the park, etc) Oh, and they have to be approvable. Duh. Please... help!!!
